Stereo Phase Scope
This utility allows you to evaluate the stereo imaging of the two input channels. This is a very useful tool for sound reinforcement applications; use this scope when adjusting the L/R pan control and optimize the placement of the various instruments/vocals in the stereo sound field.
Display Options:
The phase scope display options dialog box can be activated in several ways:
Selecting the <Options> <Phase Scope Display> menu item.
Double clicking anywhere in the phase scope plot.
Right clicking anywhere inside the phase scope plot and selecting the <Phase Scope Display Options> menu item.
Colors: The color of each plot feature can be changed. Only solid colors can be selected. The "Default" button will restore the initial colors settings.
Format: These options allow you to modify the displayed data:
Stereo Image Scope - displays the phase in a manner consistent with a sound stage with center as a vertical bar and left and right out at +/- 45 degrees.
Lissajous (X/Y) Left vs Right - displays the phase data with the left channel on the horizontal axis and the right channel on the vertical axis to correspond to a typical oscilloscope X/Y format.
Lissajous (Y/X) Right vs Left - displays the phase data with the Right channel on the horizontal axis and the Left channel on the vertical axis to correspond to a typical oscilloscope Y/X format.
